2026 is shaping up to be a defining year for The Hero and The Villain. We’ll be spending the month of March fully immersed in the studio, recording our next full-length album: an ambitious, collaborative project slated for release in late spring / early summer. This new record builds on our commitment to honest storytelling and meaningful art, while pushing our sound, themes, and creative partnerships further than ever before.
In tandem with the recording process, we’re intentionally handpicking artists to collaborate on individual tracks, inviting new voices and perspectives into the music. These collaborations will extend beyond the album itself, culminating in a live performance art exhibit designed to launch the record and showcase the musicians and visual artists involved. This immersive release event will blend music, visual art, and shared space, bringing the album’s themes to life in a way that goes far beyond a traditional show.
As the album takes shape, we’re also ramping up live performances throughout the year to support the release, with many more shows being added to the calendar. Expect the Performances section of the site to grow steadily as we bring this new era of The Hero and The Villain on the road. New merchandise designs are also in the works, created in collaboration with artists connected to the project, and additional musical partnerships with local artists are already on the horizon.
In short: new music, deeper collaboration, more shows, and a lot of momentum. We can’t wait to share what’s coming next. Stay tuned, 2026 is just getting started!
